About Us

Leon was born, raised and still lives in Sumner, Iowa.
He, his wife Terry and daughter Kimberly raise, train and show Paints.  Leon shows the halter horses, Terry does most of conditioning of the horses and the riding and Kimberly shows both the halter and performance.

In the halter arena Leon has shown 16 World and Reserve World Champions, prepared 6 Amateur World and Reserve World Champions and 1 Youth World champion along with numerous Top ten World entries, state futurity champions, Honor Roll awards and Superior Awards. In addition to showing , Leon has been an APHA judge since 1977 and judged over 150 shows including the 1988 National Championship Paint Horse Show.

Kimberly was Top 20 Youth 14-18 for 2 years and became lifetime leading showmanship Exhibitor in 2000. A Graduate of the University of Iowa with a Business Major now shows in the amateur division.
